Franklin Graham Disinvited to Pentagon

Geronami: The following story shows how Jihadist intolerance is spreading right here in America. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion came under the assault in this alliance between radial Islam and multicultural, moral relativist leftism. Read the complete story below.

Evangelist May Be Disinvited to Prayer Day Event at Pentagon

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

The Army is considering whether to rescind an invitation to the evangelist Franklin Graham to appear at the Pentagon amid complaints about his description of Islam as evil, a military spokesman said Wednesday. Mr. Graham, the son of Billy Graham, was to appear on May 6 for the National Day of Prayer. Col. Tom Collins of the Army said withdrawing the invitation was “on the table.” Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which raised the objection, said the invitation offended Muslim employees at the Pentagon. Colonel Collins said the invitation was not from the Pentagon but from the Colorado-based National Day of Prayer Task Force, which works with the Pentagon chaplain’s office on the prayer event.

Nigeria: Muslims Kill 500 Christians

A fresh round of violence in the communally sensitive northern Nigerian city of Jos has killed more than 500 persons and displaced dozens.

The violence started in Dogo Nahawa, a village about five kilometers south of Jos, where machete-wielding gangs killed scores of villagers and burned down houses in a move seen as a deliberate attempt to provoke more killings in the main city.

Officials have so far not confirmed the death toll.

"More bodies are being brought in and we cannot give the total casualty figure now because houses were burnt and vehicles were set ablaze too thereby leading to high number of deaths," state commissioner for information Greg Yenlong told PTI.

However independent reports said 500 persons, mostly women and children, are believed to have died and dozens have fled to police stations and neighbouring towns.

Red Cross spokesman Robin Waubo said the military had moved in but hundreds have already fled even as the number of deaths have not been verified.

Bishop Andersen Bok, an official of the Plateau State Christian Elders group, said the death toll has hit 500.

"Their dead bodies are still lying in their own pool of blood as I speak. The attack started at about 1.30 am last night. We are in touch with the survivors though many of them still in trauma," he said.

GERONAMI’s Comments: You see guys, Islam is a violent religion, whether they attack Hindus in India, Buddhists in Thailand, or Christians in Nigeria. But, the problem is the media ignores all the violence committed by Muslims over Christians. But, if you stop a muslim in an airport for security check, the media cry over it as human rights violation.

HAITI’s ANGRY GOD: Today on NY Times

FOR most of the past 20 hours I’ve been hiking the earthquake-rubbled streets of Port-au-Prince. Tuesday night, when we had less idea of the scope of the devastation, there was singing all over town: songs with lyrics like “O Lord, keep me close to you” and “Forgive me, Jesus.” Preachers stood atop boxes and gave impromptu sermons, reassuring their listeners in the dark: “It seems like the Good Lord is hiding, but he’s here. He’s always here.”

The day after, as the sun exposed bodies strewn everywhere, and every fourth building seemed to have fallen, Haitians were still praying in the streets. But mostly they were weeping, trying to find friends and family, searching in vain for relief and walking around in shock.

If God exists, he’s really got it in for Haiti. Haitians think so, too. Zed, a housekeeper in my apartment complex, said God was angry at sinners around the world, but especially in Haiti. Zed said the quake had fortified her faith, and that she understood it as divine retribution.

This earthquake will make the devastating storms of 2008 look like child’s play. Entire neighborhoods have vanished. The night of the earthquake, my boyfriend, who works for the American Red Cross, and I tended to hundreds of Haitians who lived in shoddily built hillside slums. The injuries we saw were too grave for the few bottles of antiseptic, gauze and waterproof tape we had: skulls shattered, bones and tendons protruding from skin, chunks of bodies missing. Some will die in the coming days, but for the most part they are the lucky ones.

No one knows where to go with their injured and dead, or where to find food and water. Relief is nowhere in sight. The hospitals that are still standing are turning away the injured. The headquarters of the United Nations peacekeeping force, which has provided the entirety of the country’s logistical support, has collapsed. Cell and satellite phones don’t work. Cars can’t get through many streets, which are blocked by fallen houses. Policemen seem to have made themselves scarce.

“If this were a serious country, there would be relief workers here, finding the children buried underneath that house,” my friend Florence told me. Florence is a paraplegic who often sits outside her house in the Bois Verna neighborhood. The house next to hers had collapsed, and Florence said that for a time she heard the children inside crying.

Why, then, turn to a God who seems to be absent at best and vindictive at worst? Haitians don’t have other options. The country has a long legacy of repression and exploitation; international peacekeepers come and go; the earth no longer provides food; jobs almost don’t exist. Perhaps a God who hides is better than nothing.

MY COMMENTS: All natural disasters happen through the will of God. Let us not try to persuade people that God has nothing to do with this in order to save God’s name. Bible tells us that God is love. But it also tells us that God controls nature and earthquakes and disasters come through his will. The journalist Pooja rightly identified the the human factors – corruption, dishonesty, tribalism – in the poor status of Haiti. It also has highest cases of HIV due to sexual immorality in the World. God is teaching a lesson for all of us here: God controls nature and human affairs. We need His grace to survive in this world. Nature is not god, it is under God. Let us pray that in this time of trouble, Haitians turn to Jesus and repent of their sins and get comfort from God’s grace.

Remember Haiti in Your Prayers

Dear friends, today, let us remember Haiti in our prayers. May God comfort their hearts. Let us donate to Haitian people in their suffering. It is also a warning to rest of us. The Bible clearly tells us that in the last days, there will be an increase in the number of earthquakes and wars. That is exactly what is happening in this world. The Lord is near.

Obama: Our Government failed to connect the dots

Earlier this afternoon, President Obama said that his government failed to connect the dots.
Friends, Obama and his administration is following a politically correct policy to combat terrorism. Janet Napolitano renamed terrorism as ‘man-made disaster’. But the fact is changing names does not change the reality. We are under attacks, Al-Qaeda and other radical Muslim outfils never give up trying to hurt Americans.
The fact we should realize is that all religions are not the same, which became the main teaching of our pluralistic society. We should start making distinctions between the religions. Christianity teaches peace and converting non-Christians with love, while, Islam teaches jihadism.

Flight 253 Terror

Dear friends, the good news is the Nigerian terrorist got indicted. In a six-count indictment, a federal grand jury in Michigan charged the man, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, with attempted murder on a plane, attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and related offenses. Mr. Abdulmutallab is to be arraigned on Friday.  In Nigeria, Christians are under severe persecution from radical Muslims, some of whom, are joining Al-Qaeda, and want to kill infidels in America.

No matter how we define America, Muslim countries always call us ‘crusaders’. But, sadly, secularism is taking a strong hold in America today and eroding its Christian foundations. We can not win over terrorism with military or economic strength. We should turn to Lord Jesus and He will protect us. That is for today. God bless you.
