Evangelist May Be Disinvited to Prayer Day Event at Pentagon

The Army is considering whether to rescind an invitation to the evangelist Franklin Graham to appear at the Pentagon amid complaints about his description of Islam as evil, a military spokesman said Wednesday. Mr. Graham, the son of Billy Graham, was to appear on May 6 for the National Day of Prayer. Col. Tom Collins of the Army said withdrawing the invitation was “on the table.” Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which raised the objection, said the invitation offended Muslim employees at the Pentagon. Colonel Collins said the invitation was not from the Pentagon but from the Colorado-based National Day of Prayer Task Force, which works with the Pentagon chaplain’s office on the prayer event.

This is ridiculous. Why are Christians not protesting out of outrage to this? Christians being tolerant of this type of treatment is benefiting whom? When do Christians stand up and say enough is enough? Is it Christians just don’t care?
